# StockTwits

## Backend class

For Django, add this class path to `AUTHENTICATION_BACKENDS`. For other
integrations, use the same class path in the framework-specific backend
setting.

StockTwits uses OAuth 2 for authentication.

- Register a new application at [https://stocktwits.com/developers/apps](https://stocktwits.com/developers/apps)
- Set the Website URL to [http://[your](http://[your) domain]/
- fill `Consumer Key` and `Consumer Secret` values in your django settings:
  ```default
  SOCIAL_AUTH_STOCKTWITS_KEY    = ''
  SOCIAL_AUTH_STOCKTWITS_SECRET = ''
  ```
